POSITION SPECIFICS The Department of Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) in the College of Education at Penn State is searching for an Academic Program Coordinator to provide an important role in the department's course scheduling and World Campus Graduate program. This will also include supporting the World Campus Children's Literature Certificate Program and C&I Master of Education (M.Ed.) Program. The role involvesworking closely with the Director of Graduate Studies, The Graduate School, and the department's administrative support manager, as well as engaging and professionally communicating with students, faculty, and staff. The Academic Program Coordinator will work both independently and collaboratively to complete this position's responsibilities, which include but are not limited to:
Utilizing effective teamworking skills, the Academic Program Coordinator will assist other team members as needed: backing up the department's website editor, assisting with social media and textbook orders, and providing backup administrative support for the department's graduate program (beyond World Campus). The Academic Program Coordinator will receive the necessary resources to learn all the rules and regulations for the University's Graduate program to complete the above responsibilities. After training, the Academic Program Coordinator will also work with various software including Microsoft Office 365 (including Excel), 25Live by CollegeNet (scheduling platform), and the following which are specific to Penn State:
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: NoneAdditional Information: The standard work schedule of this position is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern. The College of Education is supportive of flexible work arrangements when aligned with the ability to meet the needs of the unit and the essential duties of the position.
