JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Undergraduate Admissions Office (UAO) is looking to hire 45 Tour Guides reporting directly to the Visitation Team. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
The ideal tour guide applicant should demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Previous tour guide experience is beneficial but not required. Tour guides can work a maximum of 20 hours per week Monday - Saturday ranging from 8 AM to 5:30PM. Please include a resume and daily availability for Monday - Saturday between the hours of 7:30am - 5:30pm in addition to your application. This job requires the following 3 publicly available clearances: Submission of the the above clearances, along with attending an on-boarding session, are required prior to beginning employment. BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
