CNC Lathe Machinist

Staffmark is looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join a leading manufacturing team in Dayton, OH. This role is ideal for detail-oriented machinists who value precision, quality, and efficiency.

Schedule

• Night Shift: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 PM - 6:30 AM | Friday, 7:00 PM - 4:30 AM
• Training: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM until ready for night shift

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC machines and machining centers.
• Review blueprints, sketches, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials.
• Calculate and adjust machining factors such as feeds, speeds, coolant flow, and depth of cut.
• Run first-piece operations and verify accuracy of machine programs.
• Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, height gauges, and other precision tools.
• Collaborate with engineers, team leaders, and production control to resolve machining issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

What We're Looking For

• 4-10 years of combined trade school, vocational education, or relevant work experience.
• Solid understanding of machining theory, materials, and layout techniques.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push/pull, and lift 10-50 lbs as needed.
• Quality-focused with strong attention to detail.
• Reliable, with excellent attendance and decision-making skills.
• Committed to safety and professional conduct.
