Meijer offers an 11-week internship program that challenges interns to deliver innovative solutions to real projects that impact the business. Throughout the course of the internship experience, we deliver diverse personal and professional development opportunities that further develop skillsets that can be implemented both during and after the program. The internship program will allow for interaction with other interns and Meijer senior leaders.

What you will be doing as a Store Support Intern:

This internship sits within Meijer'sCorporate Store Experience team, which drivesenterprise-wide initiativesthat support our 200+ stores. Interns will work on projects thatenhance the customer and Team Member experience, influencestore processes, and supportstrategic prioritiesacross the business.

As a Store Experience Intern, you'll lead a project that impacts store operations, training, or fulfillment. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain insight into how broader strategy translates into store-level execution. You will develop competencies in key areas such as research, influence, and presentation skills.

You will have exposure to areas such as:

  • Store Operations Strategy
  • Store Support Training
  • Store Fulfillment Optimization

Qualifications:

The Meijer Store Support Internship Program is an experiential education program designed for students currently enrolled in an academic degree program, who are considering future careers in this exciting field.

  • Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in Management, Operations, or related field
  • Prior experience in Retail or customer service strongly preferred
  • Past leadership responsibilities in work or extracurricular activities preferred
  • Passion for Retail or Customer Service and a desire to enter a career supporting retail stores
  • Drive for results - is action oriented and has focus on the financial impact of their projects
  • Customer focus - dedicated to meeting expectations of internal and external customers
  • Digital mindset - experience with digital devices, applications, and analytics to access and manage information
  • Relationship Skills - can create positive working relationships with team members, leadership, and other internal and external constituencies
  • Communication Skills - conveys the right information in writing and verbally
