Job Description |
Performs technical work in support of ATSS, providing photographic technical advice and set up for a
variety of test operations and similar type tasks across the Command.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Performs standardized or prescribed assignments and follows standard work methods on recurring
assignments
* Receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments and is subject to a review of the technical
adequacy of all work
* Actively participates to ensure personal safety, team safety, visitor safety, and end user safety in
accordance with policy, standard operating procedures, and locally identified hazard mitigation
requirements
* May be called upon to mentor other technicians of the same or lesser grade on techniques and
process improvements
* Development of project plans, outlines procedures and issues, gathers data, analyzes, and assists in
interpreting data and reports
* Coordinates issues pertaining to compliance and corrective actions, determines the use of special purpose
cameras and related equipment for assignments
* Conceives and plans the technical photographic effects desired by operating officials and discusses
modifications and improvements to their original ideas in light of the potential and limits of the
equipment
* Typical examples of equipment that require set up and use include specialized still and video
cameras, airborne systems, single or dual camera high-speed imaging systems, electronic timing and
triggering devices, complicated timing, and triggering equipment
* Precise photographic measurement and control equipment; synchronized stroboscopic (interval)
light sources, and/or timed electronic triggering; and arranges and uses cameras operating at several
thousand frames per second
* Develops new capabilities and workflows to enhance the acquisition and presentation of visual test
data and processing of test assets
* Responsible for the customer interaction, concept development, time and workflow management,
and allocation of tasks
* Accepts primary responsibility for the fulfillment of mission critical requirements such as overseeing
control of classified assets and management of test data processing and delivery workflows
* May be assigned to other operations, duties and areas as required

Qualifications |
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Must have 7 years applicable experience in specialization or related discipline or at least 60 credit
hours or an associate degree and 5 years applicable experience; or 30 credit hours and 6 years
applicable experience; or completion of a formal training program and 5 years applicable
experience; or a bachelor's degree and 3 years applicable experience; or a master's degree and 1-
year applicable experience
* Shall possess basic computer skills
Physical Qualifications
* The work of this position is performed in the field where you are subject to the environment and sometimes in an environmentally controlled office environment.
* Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time.
* Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. unassisted.
* Must be able to distinguish colors
* Must be able to ascend and descent equipment
* Must be capable of frequent squatting, crouching, and stooping
* Must have good manual dexterity
* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions
* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests
* Must be able to successfully complete a background check
* Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment

Rate of Pay/Benefits
Hourly Rate: $56.80
