Nurse Midwife Full Time Rotating Shifts Detroit

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team. The CNM will provide comprehensive care to women throughout the lifespan, including antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum and gynecological care.

• Must be available 1-2 weekends per month
• Manage prenatal, labor, birth and postpartum care in collaboration with physicians and healthcare team.
• Provide evidence-based care in both high-risk and low-risk settings
• Offer education and counseling on reproductive health, family planning and menopause
• Assist with obstetric emergencies as needed.
• Collaborate on quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Practices in a formal relationship with obstetricians so that consultation and transfer of a patient is always available.
• Functions within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a provider of inpatient and outpatient prenatal, natal and postnatal care, including periodic gynecologic and breast examinations.
• A Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), with core privileges, can admit and discharge normal obstetrical patients, elicit histories, perform physical examinations, order and interpret tests, make diagnoses, institute treatment, order consultations, and treat common diseases.
• Specific procedures within the specialty are individually credentialed.
