JLL is seeking an experienced professional for the role of AI Adoption Specialist within our Public Institutions Advisory group. This position is available in Austin, Chicago, or Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have practical business experience with AI technologies applied in real estate or related public sector functions, and will be equipped to support piloting, implementing, and scaling AI-driven initiatives that generate tangible value for government and education clients.

About JLL's Public Institutions Practice:

JLL is the premier provider of strategic real estate advisory for local, state, national and federal governments as well as public and education institutions. Its national team is helping governments transform their real estate and office portfolios for the future of work and has experts that cover the entire real estate lifecycle from strategy, public-private partnerships, facilities management and sustainability services to transaction and project management. JLL brings both the experience and expertise to convert real estate portfolios into working assets that meet operational and occupancy requirements while generating revenues and reducing costs.

This role is responsible for identifying, piloting, and operationalizing AI-driven solutions spanning real estate functions-asset management, operations, transactions, and advisory-across aerospace & defense, government, education, and related segments. You will work hands-on with operational and business leaders to bridge the AI adoption gap unique to the public sector, focusing on the practical, value-generating use of AI in day-to-day operations and long-term strategy.

Responsibilities include:

1. Identify and Prioritize Monetizable AI Use Cases. Engage with PI business leaders and operational teams to surface and prioritize AI opportunities that directly impact real estate functions.

2. Develop Data-Driven Business Cases. Build robust business cases for prioritized AI initiatives, quantifying market opportunity, expected financial impact, operational benefits, and risk mitigation.

3. Pilot and Operationalize AI Solutions. Lead the design, execution, and measurement of pilot programs for AI solutions, working with internal teams and select clients.

4. Liaise Between Business and Technical Teams. Serve as the operational bridge between PI business units and JLL's technical teams, ensuring AI solutions are developed, integrated, and scaled in alignment with real estate business needs.

5. Enable Go-to-Market for AI-Driven Offerings. Collaborate with sales and business development teams to create go-to-market strategies for AI-powered solutions, supporting value proposition development and client education.

6. Drive Knowledge Sharing. Define and track operational efficiencies realized, and client adoption rates. Lead regular knowledge sharing to scale successful pilots.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, STEM, or a related field (real estate, data science, business analytics, finance, public policy, etc.)
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate, business transformation, AI/machine learning project delivery, or public sector innovation
  • Familiarity with industry concepts, practices, and procedures associated with real estate development and operations; comfort with financial modeling and quantitative analysis is required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business cases for new technology initiatives, including value quantification, ROI modeling, and risk assessment
  • Outstanding critical thinking and synthesis skills, with the ability to distill complex technical topics into business-relevant communications and presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft platform; experience with AI tools and analytics platforms is highly valued
  • Ability to work as a key member of diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, and independently with limited supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Creativity and flexibility in solving novel challenges and developing new methods for public sector adoption
  • Ability to concurrently support multiple projects, pilots, and clients with strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel as required

Estimated total compensation for this position:

121,000.00 - 137,500.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
