Job Summary

The Supply Chain Manager leads a specialized area of Watlow's SIOP process to ensure global supply and demand are aligned with customer and operational needs. The manager will also set enterprise policy in their responsibility area. This role provides day-to-day leadership, drives accountability for execution, and collaborates across commercial, operations, sourcing, and finance teams. By guiding analysts and partnering with senior leaders, the Manager ensures reliable delivery performance, optimized cost-to-serve, and efficient use of working capital within their area of responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced analytics to translate demand, supply, and financial data into actionable insights for decision-making and supply chain process improvements.
  • Ensure data-driven decision-making by maintaining process discipline and accuracy in SIOP inputs and outputs.
  • Monitor performance using KPIs tied to service, cost, and working capital; identify and address gaps.
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and adoption of best practices within their area of responsibility.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to analysts within their functional area, ensuring alignment to Watlow's business priorities.

For the Mgr., Allocation Role

  • Lead proactive allocation planning, ensuring most of the time is spent on forward-looking decisions that balance capacity, customer needs, and enterprise priorities; reactive reallocations are managed only as exceptions.
  • Serve as the final decision-maker on allocation calls, applying ET guidelines and VP of Supply Chain direction while ensuring decisions are transparent and timely.
  • Establish and drive clear communication of allocation decisions to sites, regions, and customers, ensuring consistency and trust in the process.
  • Own intercompany demand signal accuracy from regions to sites, ensuring timely and accurate forecasts flow into SIOP.
  • Partner with the Global Footprint Team to identify capacity needs and ensure site-to-site moves are executed with appropriate material and production planning.

For the Mgr., Purchasing Role

  • Own the enterprise purchasing process, deploying best practices across sites to ensure consistent execution, policy alignment, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with sourcing to develop supplier stocking agreements and diversify sources to reduce risk, reduce lead time, and balance the inventory burden between Watlow and suppliers.
  • Provide oversight of day-to-day purchasing execution across sites, including PO management, parameter accuracy, and proactive resolution of raw material constraints.
  • Identify supplier-driven gaps and constraints through the SIOP process, and work proactively with operations, sourcing, and finance to mitigate risks before they impact delivery.
  • Ensure enterprise inventory optimization for raw materials, focusing on reducing exposure on the highest spend categories while supporting operational execution and company growth.

For the Mgr., Inventory Role

  • Collaborate with sites to set and deploy the enterprise inventory strategy, ensuring alignment on stocking agreements, replenishment systems, and overall vision.
  • Review site-level practices and highlight opportunities for improvement in execution, focusing on min/max settings, cycle counts, and parameter management.
  • Work with sites to align inventory practices to their MTO, MTS, ATO, and ETO strategies across both hard-coded and configured SKUs.
  • Partner with the Director of Supply Chain and the SIOP team to identify inventory trends across product lines, providing insights that inform enterprise planning and working capital targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the Managers of Allocation and Purchasing to ensure capacity, raw Material, and inventory strategies are integrated into a single forward-looking plan.
