Position Summary:




This position is responsible for upholding world-class manufacturing standards, overseeing the building of products, managing equipment troubleshooting, and ensuring the team is well-trained and at mastery for all processes within their scope or areas of focus. Quality excellence standards, including the analysis and rework procedures, will be a top priority. The individual will work closely with key stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise while maintaining ownership of the processes. Additionally, the position will work closely with the team to promote safety, help the team achieve their goals, and ensure the overall success of the manufacturing area(s).

Skills, Abilities and Mastery (Responsibility Matrix):




Delivery/Support:



  • Leverages support resources to achieve goals and objectives without delegating ownership and responsibility
  • Technical troubleshooting of processes, equipment, and products.
  • Mentors, trains, and develops fellow team members and ensures proper training records are retained
  • Remains current on product, process, and equipment development
  • Delivers consistently on improvement, waste elimination, and helps resolve internal and external customer technical issues as needed
  • Assists with prototype builds
  • Performs product, process, and equipment audits, maintain logs, and analyzes data
  • Evaluates yield, performance, and other statistical data for trends and develop corresponding product or process improvements and updating appropriate documentation
  • Assists analysis of failed or returned material and development of corrective action
  • Assists in disposition of non-conforming products and components
  • Builds product to design using work instructions/standards.
  • Responsible for production performance and assessment regarding Improvement, Standard Work & PSCs (Problem Solving Centers)
  • Creates and audits standard work in assigned areas
  • Communicates and/or escalates issues and opportunities as required
  • Follows Standard Operating Process (SOP)


Business Partner



  • Collaborates with Manufacturing on staffing/flow issues and improvements
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain on material/order flow issues and improvements
  • Collaborates with Engineering on process flow issues and improvements
  • Collaborates with Maintenance on equipment issues and improvements



Center of Expertise (COE)



  • Advanced manufacturing experience
  • Tooling and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Quality mindset
  • Technical expertise on new and/or updated mfg equipment





Education, Experience and Certification Requirements:





  • High-school graduate/GED preferred
  • Preferred Two-year degree or Technical Certificate or related experience (3-5 years)
  • Leadership training
