Project Manager NI
Your main responsibilities
Project Management: * Oversee new installation projects to ensure efficient, profitable close-out * Provide approved submittals and ensure timely delivery of materials from vendors * Collaborate with the Field Superintendents to monitor job progress and address potential delays with action plans * Partner with Engineering and local & regional management for successful completion of the project * Maintain vendor relationships and assist with monthly forecasting and budget planning * Identify change notice opportunities, prepare paperwork, and secure customer approvals before work begins
Financial & Change Order Support * Monitor job financial performance, track invoice collections, bad debt and process progress payments. * Facilitate with project scope, prepare change order paperwork, and track changes in SAP to ensure proper documentation. * Ensure projects are invoiced and achieve 90% - 95% payment before elevator turnover (dependent on contratual agreement).
Customer Relationship Management: * Establish and maintain critical customer relationships to support project success. * Submit certified payroll, including tracking worker hours, wages, and fringe benefits in accordance with prevailing wage laws
Quality & Safety Compliance: * Ensure compliance with customer and Schindler requirements for quality, performance, and passenger safety
What you bring
- Bachelor's Degree: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management or Finance with at least 3 - 7 years of proven project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Experience in the construction, elevator or related building systems industry
- Familiarity with SAP, Lotus Notes, and project management software like Procore
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints
- Strong financial acumen
