Summer Associate Internship (Procurement and Vendor Management Business Unit Liaison Analyst)

Overview

The Procurement and Vendor Management (PVM) business unit liaison team works with senior leaders across the enterprise and PVM functional teams to achieve positive outcomes that advance business unit strategies. PVM as a whole is responsible for strategically sourcing third party vendors, negotiating and executing contracts, managing third party risk and providing a framework for vendor oversight. The business unit liaison team drives early awareness into critical initiatives that require third party support and enables PVM functions to prepare and align resources to support these initiatives effectively. It also serves as a "one stop shop" for leaders who require assistance from PVM or have questions regarding process.

Potential projects for the Business Unit Liaison Analyst may include:

  • Designing, deploying and actioning an internal customer satisfaction survey to leaders throughout the organization who have leveraged the business unit liaison team.
  • Enhancing reporting to add quarter-over-quarter trending and deeper qualitative analysis of action items.
  • Optimizing the structure and cadence of ongoing meetings to reflect Navy Federal's matrix structure and environment.

The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2026 and ending in August 2026. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or later.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business unit liaison model and catalogue individuals throughout the enterprise who the function has engaged.
  • Design and deploy internal customer satisfaction survey. Analyze responses and make recommendations.
  • Enhance ongoing reporting to add trending and drive qualitative analysis.
  • Analyze service model relative to Navy Federal's organizational structure and recommend changes to meeting cadence and structure.
  • Attend meetings and assist in the capture and tracking of action items.

Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of tools (required)
  • Proficient with advanced data analytics platforms, like PowerBI (desired)
  • Comfortable leveraging data to drive recommendations
  • Self-directed individual who is capable of operating with light supervision
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Background, experience or academic knowledge of organizational design concepts

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM EDT
