The opportunity

The Custodial Services Quality Assurance and Equipment Technician is an on-site position that reports directly to our Custodial Services Manager. You will train all custodial staff in the use/maintenance of custodial equipment and oversee all on campus building custodial inspections to provide a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing learning environment. #LI-Onsite

What you'll do:

  • Complete building inspections, quarterly, monthly and weekly.
  • Directly report inspection results to the Custodial Services Manager.
  • Use the inspection protocol that establishes metrics and expectations for custodial services personnel to follow in collaboration with the Custodial Services Manager.
  • Oversee floor care for summer with outside contractor.
  • Audit classroom seat counts using report from the Office of the University Registrar.
  • Conduct summer inspections in all areas and buildings covered under the Custodial Services Department.
  • Use digital software to record and track inspection notes.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in the custodial field; knowledge of basic equipment maintenance and repairs (e.g. auto scrubber and vacuum).
  • 3+ years of experience with floor care (e.g. gym floor maintenance, carpet cleaning/care)
  • Hold a valid driver's license and be eligible to be insured by the university's auto insurance carrier.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $16.94 - $27.11. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $18.72 - $25.32.
