This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

This is a 6-month, fixed-term contract position with benefits. Multiple positions available across various business units and locations.

As a Talent Acquisition professional, you'll advise and partner with hiring managers and business leaders to source, screen and hire the best and the brightest to design, test, manufacture and launch reusable spaceflight systems.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Please note: This is a pooling requisition for current and anticipated openings across multiple Talent Acquisition teams. Candidates will be matched to the right roles as needs are identified.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the full cycle recruiting process across highly technical engineering roles, from application to onboarding.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and strategic talent advisor, owning job posting and advertising, and candidate assessments.
  • Develop and implement sourcing plans to create deep talent pipelines using diverse channels and networks.
  • Build relationships with prospects turn them qualified candidates and provide robust candidate experience.
  • Mentor and collaborate with other members of the Talent Acquisition Team, championing best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate job scoping discussions, weekly tag-ups, and candidate debrief meetings. Prepare recruiting status reports and lead update meetings on active searches with key stakeholders.
  • Be curious, gain and maintain deep understanding of technical requirements for current and upcoming job openings.
  • Stay current on industry benchmarks, trends, and best practices in talent acquisition and space industry recruitment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in years of relevant recruiting experience
  • 2-5+ years of full cycle in-house recruiting experience with a proven record of hiring for engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting engineering talent in disciplines such as Fluids systems, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical and Structural engineering.
  • Deep recruiting or technical knowledge in one or more of the following industries: Aerospace, Defense, Manufacturing, Space(including commercial startups), Robotics/Automation, Advanced Materials, Satellite/Communication, Nuclear Power or Technology (focused on hardware/software engineering, embedded systems, and mission critical applications).
  • Proficiency with Workday applicant tracking system is required
  • Outstanding communication skills; stakeholder management, and organizational skills; track record of influencing hiring decisions.
  • Proven ability to proactively source and engage candidates using a variety of platforms and cutting edge methods.
  • Proficiency with utilizing data analytics to drive recruitment strategies and outcomes (familiarity with Tableau is a plus)
  • Ability to earn trust and maintain positive professional relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CIR, ACIR, or similar industry certifications
  • Experience managing exempt and nonexempt requisitions

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
