DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in vehicle diagnostics, general repairs, and maintenance for cars and light trucks, while also assisting with various automotive systems. This internship is perfect for students eager to bridge the gap between theory and practice. You will learn about the functioning of automotive components, how to use specialized tools, and play a key role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet. It is important to ask questions whenever you are unsure or face new challenges, and to consistently follow safety protocols. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Work schedule will vary based on agreement between high school and COPA location
- Senior enrolled in High School 2025-2026 - The internship could begin 7/1/2025 and go through the 2025-2026 school year.
- Junior enrolled in High School 2025-2026 - The internship could begin 7/1/2025 and go through the 2025-2026 school year, summer 2026, and 2026-2027 school year.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements:
- You must be at least 16 years of age at time of hire.
- You must be a junior or senior enrolled in high school during the 2025 - 2026 school year.
Additional Requirements:
- Letter of Recommendation: You must attach a Letter of Recommendation from your school's co-op coordinator, career or guidance counselor, or similar designated school professional indicating that you meet your school's requirements and are being recommended for this opportunity.
- Work Permit: Minors will be required to submit their Work Permit upon acceptance of this position.
- By participating in this program, the student and school agree to the use of the Commonwealth's Training Plan, Statement of Responsibilities, and Student Performance Evaluation. Forms will be provided to the student upon acceptance of this position.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
