Join PPG Aerospace! As a Project Scheduler, you will support the construction, commissioning, and startup of a new coatings and sealants manufacturing plant. You will develop and maintain an integrated project schedule encompassing multiple distinct workstreams. You will collaborate closely with workstream leads to define deliverables, develop work breakdown structures (WBS), schedule tasks, assign resources, and ensure alignment of all schedules into a comprehensive project plan. This is a remote role and this position will report to the Project Management Office (PMO) with a dotted line to the Shelby Project Manager. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain an integrated project schedule that consolidates all workstreams into a single, cohesive plan. Collaborate with workstream leads to identify deliverables, define tasks, and create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS). Schedule tasks, assign resources, and establish task dependencies to reflect project timelines. Calculate and analyze the critical path to identify key activities impacting project completion. Monitor schedule progress and update plans to reflect changes, risks, and issues. Provide schedule reports and updates to the Project Manager and other partners. Support risk management by identifying schedule-related risks and recommending mitigation strategies. Ensure schedule data integrity and consistency across all project documentation. Help implement project management best practices related to scheduling. Support the project team with scheduling tools and techniques, primarily using Microsoft Project. Provide additional support to the Project Manager as required.
Qualifications
Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, a combination of education and experience will be considered. 2+ years of experience creating and maintaining project schedules on large, complex projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Project is essential. Understanding of project management best practices. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification is preferred. 1+ years of experience with Front-End Loading (FEL) and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) is an advantage.
