As the Lean Six Sigma Trainer, you will be part of our Quality Process Improvement Team and report to the Program Manager. You will play an instrumental role in the delivery of PPG's Lean Six Sigma methodologies with a focus on reducing waste, minimizing variation, and driving bottom line results. You will design and implement training materials, coach belt candidates, and lead Lean Six Sigma projects. In this is a hybrid role, you will travel to multiple PPG facilities 30-50% of the time. Most travel will be domestic with occasional international travel. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Lean Six Sigma training facilitation to multiple levels of personnel
- Mentor others on fundamental Lean Six Sigma elements, data analysis, and continuous improvement project lifecycle
- Encourage knowledge and skill development by giving clear feedback and guiding others to find answers independently
- Collaborate with project leaders and sponsors to ensure appropriate use of Lean Six Sigma tools and Project Management best practices
- Ensure development and delivery of Quality Process Improvement courses are aligned with and support SBUs goals
- Develop clear action plans for training deployment
- Focus upon value creation by improving products, processes, services, and developing people
- Champion adoption of new methods and technologies and challenge individuals to consider different views and thinking
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field of study
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience designing and implementing training programs, including electronic training
- 3+ years experience facilitating Lean Six Sigma content
- 3+ years implementing Lean Six Sigma improvements
- Experience with Minitab Statistical Software and Project Management tools
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
