We are seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Manager to lead project quality efforts at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. This role is responsible for implementing the project-specific QC plan, ensuring compliance with NAVFAC Southeast requirements, and serving as the government's primary point of contact for all quality matters. The QC Manager will play a key role in delivering a high-profile federal project safely, on schedule, and with the highest standards of workmanship.

Location: Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Serve as the primary QC representative on-site per NAVFAC specification requirements.



  • Develop, implement, and enforce the Three Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up) for all definable features of work.



  • Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and material testing to verify compliance with contract documents.



  • Lead quality-related meetings, inspections, and audits with the government, subcontractors, and project team.



  • Identify and resolve non-conformance issues quickly to prevent schedule or cost impacts.



  • Maintain all quality records, reports, and documentation in accordance with contract and corporate requirements.



  • Support the project team in delivering exceptional performance, achieving high CPARS ratings, and exceeding client expectations.




QUALIFICATIONS:




  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).



  • 7+ years of construction quality control experience; at least 3 years in a supervisory role on federal or military projects.



  • Experience with NAVFAC, USACE, or other federal agency construction contracts required.



  • Completion of the USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) course (must be current).



  • OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred.



  • Strong knowledge of EM 385-1-1, UFC, and applicable building codes.



  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; proven ability to manage subcontractors and field teams.
