Part-time Business Information Technology Intern

Peraton is seeking a Part-time Business Information Technology Intern to join our US Postal Service team in a 100% remote and/or hybrid environment.

As an Intern, you will join the program team to provide business and process support across all the functional areas - focusing primarily on the projects/efforts assigned to the Program Manager. You will have the opportunity to learn the basics of project/program management, financial analysis, communication plans, contract support and learning the day-to-day of how a business operates.

Responsibilities:

Assist with weekly time approvals, reconciliation between Deltek and Customer timesheets, and ensuring corrections are performed in a timely manner
• Assist with financial and P&L analysis
• Assist program manager with facilitation of key meetings
• Assist with key deliverables
• Review processes and provide insight for improvements
• Assignments usually involve a wide variety of detailed activities which can include planning and conducting research
• Work closely with the Peraton Functional Support, Financial, & Contracts team
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize work based on deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

• US Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
• Current undergrad enrolled at an accredited university in a 4-year degree program pursuing one of the following areas of studies: Business Management, Business administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Experience with MS Suite: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Deltek, Cognos, or other time reporting systems
• Experience with Federal Contracting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
