We are seeking a part-time bilingual-English and Mandarin Chinese coordinator to assist Dr. Shonna Yin, Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Population Health, with projects taking place within the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine / Bellevue Hospital Center / Charles B. Wang Community Health Center. The individual in this position will support study management, and data collection for projects on the impact of parent literacy on children's health. Projects involve looking at this impact in relation to parental understanding of medication instructions/prevention of medication errors, chronic disease management, and obesity prevention. This position provides a unique opportunity to become involved in other projects with the potential to collaborate on scholarly abstracts / publications. This position may be a particularly good option for those looking for a transitional position between college and an advanced degree (eg. medical/dental/public health). Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have an Associate's Degree required. Fluency in English and Mandarin required. Candidate should be able to read and write in both languages. Excellent communication and organization skills necessary. Prior experience working with children and families a plus. Prior research experience preferred. Ability to commit for a 2-year commitment preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $28.15 - $28.15 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
