DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will provide advice and counsel to consumers regarding issues related to vital event records, certificates, and permits. You will apply knowledge of the Vital Statistics Law of 1953, Title 28 regulations, and select domestic relations statutes to the nuances of specific situations to provide immediate and accurate guidance about appropriate documentation necessary to apply for certificates of vital events, amend birth and death records, access paternity records and adoption records, and grant fee waivers. This role requires a high degree of confidentiality and discretion in each consumer interaction to ensure information is released to appropriate parties. In addition, you will follow retention schedules to maintain files, complete daily production reports, and identify fraudulent applications, identifications, and documents. - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
