DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As the primary receptionist for the agency, you will be the first point of contact for the numerous agencies and consumers we serve. Communicating in a courteous and effective manner is essential as you operate a telephone console and answer and transfer calls to their appropriate destination, determining if there is an immediate need for a response by agency personnel. This position acts as a back-up for entry of mail-outs and referrals from mail into the SAMS system. Work includes making data entry changes in SAMS and PIA regarding demographic data, assignment of caseworker, care enrollment changes and more. You will share responsibility for incoming referrals for pre-admission, enter the initial data into the tracking system and return incomplete information for corrections. Other duties to include but not limited to:
- Acting as back-up for closing case records, including termination of service orders, the service plan, care plans, and care enrollments
- Preparing and typing letters, reports, schedules, agendas, minutes, and lists into draft or final form
- Mailing correspondence in response to routing inquiries or request for information
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 2, and educational development to the level of completion of high school; or
- One year of progressively complex clerical typing experience and completion of high school; or
- Six months of moderately complex clerical typing work and completion of a post high school business curriculum; or
- Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lehigh County. If no eligible candidates who live within Lehigh County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
