Position Title: Skilled - TIG Welder Wage: $52,000.00 - $58,240.00/Yearly Shift: 1st & 2nd Shift Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM We are seeking a highly skilled TIG Welder with expertise in stainless steel tube/pipe welding for pharmaceutical-grade equipment. Skilled - TIG Welder Responsibilities: - Welds stainless or aluminum sheets to produce tanks in various positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead, etc - Identifies any fault in equipment, material, or equipment operation and notifies supervisor - Clamps, holds, tack-welds, heat-bends, bolts, and/or grinds material as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final product - Operates accessory equipment and performs tasks necessary for welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arcs, metal arcs, flux-cored arcs, plasma arcs, and other techniques used in different types of welding - Controls the processes of fitting, burning, and welding to avoid problems in relation to the overheating, distortion, expansion, and/or shrinkage of parts - Examines finished product to ensure specifications are met - Prepares and sets up necessary tools and equipment for welding job such as shielded metal arc, gas metal arc or other welding equipment - Reads and understands basic prints/drawings to ensure accuracy of work performed - Inspects finished product for quality - Follows workflow processes and standard work instructions - Problem solves and communicates effectively with work team - Contributes ideas for continuous improvement of workflow and processes - Follows all safety guidelines and procedures - Performs other duties as assigned Requirements For Skilled - TIG Welder: - 2+ years of experience as a welder/fabricator - MIG and TIG welding experience is required - Stainless steel welding experience is required, aluminum welding a plus - Experience in fabrication a plus QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
