Description

Must have extensive knowledge and experience in "I" Level maintenance coordinating aircraft maintenance. Possess a strong background in maintenance scheduling and control systems, techniques and ICRL procedures. Have the ability to determine manning requirements, detect trends and predict maintenance and supply requirements. Must have an extensive working knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance, Quality Assurance and OPNAVINST 4790.2 and 3750.6 series instructions. Must have excellent communication skills.
Must have working knowledge of NTCSS Optimized IMA NALCOMIS.
Must be customer oriented.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ensures timely completion of all maintenance, inspections and recording accuracy of source documents.
Manages daily operating situations and plan work of personnel engaged in production control, component repair, structures,
Coordinates maintenance scheduling and control systems.
Coordinates work schedules, job priorities, employee certifications and assets to assure the timely and economical completion of all work.
Ensures accomplishment of inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and repair of aircraft and equipment.
Ensures compliance with safety practices and proper emergency procedures.
Detects trends and predict maintenance and supply requirements.
Enforces and exercises continuous awareness of the maintenance effort in compliance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program, RA, and local maintenance instructions.
Prepares daily and weekly status reports for input into the Program Management Office.
Provides guidance, training and counseling of personnel in support of aircraft scheduling, maintenance and control.
Provides courteous interface with Navy counterparts and other contractor employees.
Performs other related duties as required.
Maintains cleanliness of the work center.
Complies with Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste, and Tool Control programs.
Complies with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the
contract, facilities and job assignment.
Assists as directed to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government owned and company owned equipment.
May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Completion of high school or equivalent. Specialized training or equivalent experience in I Level maintenance, administration and quality assurance.
In the past 10 years, must have three (3) years general experience and three (3) years experience in I Level maintenance; Must have at least two (2) years supervising 20 people in performance of aircraft maintenance or comparable military experience. Must be able to obtain/maintain CAC and clearance required by government.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:
This classification activity is usually accomplished in a office/shop environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office/shop activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
