The Installation Service Technician is responsible for servicing commercial and residential storm shelters, metal buildings, and pole barns. The majority of work is performed onsite at customer locations, requiring regular travel to project sites. Responsibilities include addressing customer concerns, providing timely communication regarding arrival, gathering details for quotes, and completing necessary repairs to buildings and their components.

• Evaluate building conditions and identify issues related to storm shelters, metal buildings, and their components.
• Collect information for quotes and communicate details with the Manager.
• Perform repairs on storm shelters and metal buildings, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and obtain customer approval of completed work.
• Support production goals by assisting with tasks in the RGDS plant as needed.
• Carry out welding repairs and metal refinishing.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems and components.
• Perform general maintenance on buildings and barns.

• Proficiency in welding techniques and repairs.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Strong recordkeeping skills with attention to detail.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Background work in general repair and maintenance.

• Welding Certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner's Certification [Medical Card].
• Ability to read and understand oversize routes and permits.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience using Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Very heavy work. Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. Activities occur inside and outside. Temperatures can be below 32 degrees or above 100 degrees for periods longer than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
• The worker is frequently required to operate machinery and/or power tools. Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
• Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform inspections and load and unload products.
