Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
* Manage senior and supervisory Engineering/Product Management manufacturing staff and processes in assigned areas. Prepare, monitor, and ensure work schedules meet established project requirements. Provide coaching/training to supervisors and staff members as needed. Complete performance reviews according to established process. Provide on-going feedback.
* Coordinate the transfer of technology processes from R&D or other outside sources to manufacturing. Participate in design reviews/cross functional group meetings.
* Coordinate and track custom manufacturing projects.
* Collect data on capacity and productivity.
* Serve as technical expert for departmental staff. As needed, define problems. Collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and implement corrective actions.
* Assess staffing, equipment and workspace requirements.
* Evaluate current processes and recommend improvement and cost reduction measures.
* Review SOP's, MP's, batch records and other department documents. Develop and streamline engineering procedures and documentation.
* Prepare, monitor. and ensure compliance with the departmental budget
* Ensure cGMP. ISO and OSHA compliance.
* Other duties may be assigned. What You Need to Succeed
* B.S. in Mechanical, Polymer Science or Industrial Engineering or 10 years working directly within molding industry.
* Seven (7) or more years progressively responsible related industry experience. (Knowledge of design and fabrication techniques for plastic components, injection mold tooling design, and plant automation).
* Five (5) or more years of manufacturing/engineering experience in related industry.
* Five (5) or more years' successful leadership/supervisory experience.
* Direct project management staff to ensure project timelines are met on time and on budget
* Demonstrated knowledge of cGMP and ISO.
* MS Office applications.
* Demonstrated effective communication skills, including project planning, process engineering and tool manufacturing.
* Previous experience developing and monitoring a departmental budget. Our Offer to You
