Are you an experienced civil or environmental engineer with a passion for modeling and infrastructure planning? Fishbeck is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer to join our Cincinnati office and support high-impact projects across Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to lead modeling efforts, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and work directly with municipalities to solve complex wet weather and capacity challenges.


What You'll Work On


  • Analyze flow monitoring data to identify dry and wet weather patterns, including quantifying rainfall-dependent inflow and infiltration.
  • Develop and refine storm and sanitary sewer models using SWMM and/or InfoWorks.
  • Lead planning studies for municipal clients to address collection system capacity and wet weather issues.
  • Prepare clear, concise technical reports and communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the design of sanitary sewer projects and support master planning efforts.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and environmental scientists across Fishbeck's regional offices.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination in a multi-office environment.


What We're Looking For


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
  • 8+ years of experience in modeling sanitary and storm sewer systems.
  • Proficiency with SWMM and hydraulic modeling tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and engage with clients directly.

Minimum Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and sit as needed on project sites. Ability to drive a motor vehicle to reach work sites; ability to maneuver project sites with uneven terrain. Ability to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate.
