Purpose of Position
The Financial Aid Coordinator II/Team Leader position in the Office of Student Financial Assistance will provide advising to students and parents on the availability of federal, state and institutional aid programs. This includes assisting students from the application process to the delivery of aid.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service in person, on the telephone and via email to students, parents, and the university community (in person and online).

  • Serve as lead point of contact for NKU faculty and staff tuition waivers through HR.

  • Interpret and adhere to federal, state and institutional financial aid rules and regulations

  • Process KCTCS tuition waivers, consortium agreements and other state waivers, as assigned.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in financial aid or related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Applicants must possess high levels of organizational, customer service skills, and seamless ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal, telephone communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Candidate needs exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task successfully within multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and work as part of a team.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Word.
