Job Summary 92NY's School Engagement in the Arts seeks dynamic, experienced Dance Teaching Artists for its 2025-2026 Discover Dance program. Teaching Artists will lead 18 in-school dance lessons per class at partnering NYC elementary schools (Grades 2, 3, and 6), guiding students through an active exploration of various movement styles. We are seeking educators with expertise in Hip-Hop, Breakdance, House, and Tap dance. The program includes two culminating performances at 92NY featuring renowned guest artists. Schedule: Job Responsibilities Include
Deliver 18 engaging, student-centered lessons per participating class (typically four to five 45-minute classes per visit)
Experience, Education, & Skills Desired * 3-5 years of experience teaching dance in public school classroom settings (Grades 2, 3, and 6 preferred) Work Environment & Requirements Work Hours and Environment 16.5 hours/week Applicants should be available to work during regular school hours from September 2025 - June 2026.
