Join the Office of the Registrar Team as a Transcript Evaluator and Shape the Path to Student Success! As a Transcript Evaluator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring students' academic journeys start off on the right foot. You'll analyze official academic records to assess eligibility for admissions, transfer credits, graduation, and certification-carefully comparing prior coursework to Baker College's policies, degree requirements, and articulation agreements. Your attention to detail will directly impact students' progress and success, making you a key player in their educational experience! In this position, you will assess various types of prior academic credit, including college coursework, licensures, certifications, military credit, and articulation credit, ensuring they align with Baker College's standards. You will also research external credit sources to verify the accuracy of transfer credit evaluations. The role involves entering detailed data into the SIS (Jenzabar) system, such as transfer credits, grade changes, substitutions, and program updates. Additionally, you will maintain and update transfer equivalencies in the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) and provide guidance to students, faculty, and staff on transfer policies and degree requirements. Weekly audits will be processed, and you'll ensure all tasks comply with the College's guidelines and requirements. Participation in committees and meetings directed by the Registrar will also be part of your responsibilities. A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university is required for this position. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service. Proficiency in computer skills, including the ability to navigate computer-related technologies, is essential. A strong understanding of higher education, including academic policies, degree requirements, and procedures, is critical for success in this role. The ability to analyze and interpret complex academic records with high accuracy is a must. Additionally, candidates should be able to prioritize tasks effectively, manage a varied workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The role requires both the independence to work autonomously and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with different departments across the institution.
