Purpose of the Job

The PMO Program Manager will be responsible for following Truliant PMO processes to facilitate the planning, tracking, and delivery of high-priority projects of strategic organizational significance. The PMO Program Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to drive requirements, develop schedules, monitor completion of deliverables, and communicate multi-stream project information effectively through all levels of the organization for multiple concurrent initiatives. The PMO Program Manager will be responsible for aligning program objectives with organizational goals, managing interdependent projects, and driving successful outcomes across business units.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manages all work effort associated with the planning, resourcing, execution, and closing of assigned corporate programs.
  • Develops and executes a comprehensive program roadmap to manage project scope, schedule, budget, communications, risk, and change control.
  • Monitors and evaluates program progress and performance against each project plan and is proactive in identifying problems that may impact the project's scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Partners with Project Leads/Sponsors to solve for all issues, risks, and business decisions that surface during the program.
  • Proactively collaborates with the sponsoring line of management, stakeholders, project team, and vendors to analyze potential solutions and gain consensus on a timely final decision that provides the best outcome for the organization.
  • Oversees tracking metrics and scorecards, escalating issues, reviewing project risks, and project management support
  • Collaborates with Project Managers within project streams to discuss project status, risks, and issues
  • Analyzes and documents the impact of project change requests on scope, schedule, and budget, obtaining required approvals to plan and implement the proposed changes.
  • Monitors and reviews vendor deliverables to validate alignment with the vendor's Statement of Work.
  • Host Program Roadmap meetings for leadership to review the current progress of each program streamlines
  • Effectively communicates and works cross-functionally to analyze project needs, solve problems, and implement change
  • Serves as a liaison between the line of business sponsoring the project, key stakeholders, the project team, and vendors.
  • Develops excellent business relationships by communicating clear expectations regarding timelines and work priorities, providing expedient responses, timely resolution of roadblocks, and conveying a vested interest in the success of the project.
  • Facilitates project meetings, develops meeting agendas, and provides detailed meeting minutes per PMO guidelines.
  • Follows the prescribed project management process and generates program reporting per PMO guidelines.
  • Leads negotiations between stakeholders to achieve agreement and find mutually beneficial outcomes.

  • Must be flexible and able to shift resources, priorities, and schedule as required.
  • Must possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to Truliant's members, both internal and external.
  • Must be proficient use of MS Projects, Visio, MS Office Suite, and have experience working with project management software.
  • Must be able to work in a general office environment and remotely.
  • Must have practical knowledge of PMI standards for managing projects.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping required
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for moderate periods of time and use a computer
  • Must be able to moderately lift or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance, or related field required
  • 6+ years of experience in business project support, change management, and/or project/program management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification preferred
  • Agile experience required and certification preferred
