Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled IT Support Specialist with knowledge of the CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance to join our growing team. This role calls for a dedicated professional with experience in end-user support in an Office 365 environment, IT systems management, and the advancement of organizational cybersecurity posture. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to technology, an ability to communicate effectively across departments, and a passion for maintaining operational excellence in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.



Key Responsibilities

  • End-User Support: Serve as the first point of contact for technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring timely resolution for staff across all departments.
  • IT Systems Management: Support the management of end-user IT equipment and related inventory. Conduct the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, servers, networks, and related infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • CMMC Compliance Support: Play a support role in maintaining cybersecurity practices in accordance with the latest CMMC guidelines.
  • Security Monitoring: Regularly monitor systems for vulnerabilities, and respond promptly to security incidents, escalating as necessary and documenting all actions taken.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of technical procedures, incidents, configurations, and compliance activities. Prepare reports for management and auditors as required.
  • User Training: Educate employees about cybersecurity best practices.
  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure the consistent application of IT and cybersecurity policies, including access controls, password management, and system updates.



Required Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Prior work in a DoD contractor or government-regulated environment
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years' professional experience in IT support or systems administration, with working knowledge of the NIST 800-171 standard. Knowledge of CMMC and/or audit support and compliance activities (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in managing GCC-High enclaves, Windows and Linux operating systems, networking protocols, cloud services, and endpoint security solutions.
  • CMMC Compliance: Demonstrated hands-on experience interpreting, implementing, and maintaining controls required under CMMC levels 1-2.
  • Cybersecurity Knowledge: Understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices, with the ability to apply these concepts to real-world business environments.
  • Certifications: Industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or similar credentials, are highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly guides and presentations.
  • Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to assess risks, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective solutions under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to documentation, record-keeping, and the interpretation of regulatory requirements vs. system performance.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative spirit and willingness to work closely with colleagues in IT, compliance, management, and external partners.

Day-to-Day Activities

  • On-Site Work in Vienna, VA.
  • Possibility of some travel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. for hardware setups.
  • Responding to help desk tickets and resolving technical issues for end-users.
  • Conducting routine system checks, updates, and performance monitoring.
  • Assisting in the onboarding and offboarding of users, ensuring appropriate access levels and security controls are in place.
  • Testing and deploying security patches and updates across all devices and servers.
  • Participating in incident response and recovery efforts.
  • Supporting NIST 800-171 compliance assessments and preparing documentation for audits.
  • Collaborating with the cybersecurity team to review and strengthen controls.
  • Leading or assisting in IT-related projects, such as software rollouts or infrastructure upgrades.
