Sr Accounting Analyst, Full Time, Easton PA

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Senior Accounting Analyst is able interpret leader's direction absent explicit instruction and can formulate an approach to a majority of requests. Position serves as the primary assistant to the Accounting Manager, providing critical feedback and original thought in discussions.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Prepare the worldwide Consolidation of reported results including elimination of intercompany transactions, adjustment of foreign subsidiary financials to US GAAP, translation adjustments and maintenance of HFM/Hyperion.
  • Collaborate with all worldwide subsidiaries and parent company to coordinate accounting activities for timely consolidations, reconciliation of local statutory financial statements to parent results, and account reconciliations in Blackline.
  • Prepare the worldwide Balance Sheet providing key monthly flux analysis, metrics (e.g., DSO, DPO), return on assets calculation, and explanations of variances versus Plan and Prior year.
  • Prepare the monthly Cash Flow statement (management basis - Operating section.) and highlight variances to Plan and Prior year.
  • Assist with preparation of Balance Sheet annual Plan and periodic forecasts. Restate prior year management P/L for Fx translation adjustments.
  • Participate in external entity audits including state sales/use tax audits, external financial audits, internal control audits, and bank audits.
  • Perform various analysis at direction of manager in areas of benefits, insurance and treasury.
  • Complete the month-end and year-end financial "close" process. Ensure transactions are recorded properly and accurately. Coordinate with originating entities to understand and reflect the correct economic substance.
  • Ensure integrity and completeness of all financial statements and reports. Perform reconciliations and analysis to ensure consistency of results across systems.


JOB SPECIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/accounting practices & procedures.
  • CPA or minimum 7 years' experience with various accounting functions required.
  • SAP experience in FI/CO modules strongly preferred.
  • Hyperion /HFM consolidation experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with all levels of the organization.
