Title of Position: BSA Investigative Analyst I - NY, NJ, Or PA

Position Type: Full-Time. Typical shifts include Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. With a rotational Saturday 9:00AM to 12:00PM

Compensation Range: $23/Hr - $30/Hr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*

Location: Position is On-site in Endwell, NY, Syracuse, NY, Saddle Brook, NJ , Muhlenberg, PA OR Reading PA. Hybrid work opportunity may be available.

Responsibilities/Duties::



  • Assist with BSA/AML monitoring efforts by managing software dashboards/queues.
  • Conduct highly skilled investigations and analysis of suspicious activity.
  • Gather, analyze, and document key data for each alert/case and retain information according to policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Interview and counsel relevant parties to collect information and facilitate timely case resolutions while demonstrating high emotional intelligence.
  • Review, analyze and file reports and forms in accordance with BSA/AML regulatory filing requirements for SARs, CTRs, OFAC, and FinCEN 314(a)
  • Ensure strict adherence to and ongoing familiarity with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Adhere to and maintain ongoing familiarity with credit union processes and procedures
  • Ensure departmental compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Validate and balance data from core systems to BSA/AML software
  • Receive and assist with incoming correspondence via email, mail, fax, and phone calls
  • Provide coverage for phone queues to ensure timely case/incident resolutions
  • Assist with researching and maintaining files, reports, and forms to support BSA audits
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements, enhanced fraud detection and prevention measures and streamlined processes.
  • Create process flows of department processes for efficient project management
  • Escalate all areas of concern to the department manager for review and resolution.
  • Provide departmental back-up coverage as needed.
  • Respond effectively to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:



  • Associates Degree with 1-3 years of experience
  • Obtain BSA certification within 1 year of hire
  • Proficient with standard office equipment and systems such as computers, phones, the internet, email, etc.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Certifications or a Degree in fraud, BSA/AML, compliance, or other financial services areas
