The Role ...

We are seeking a motivated Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of highly repetitive processing machines by following clearly defined routines and demonstrated procedures. You will ensure machines remain in good operating condition by monitoring performance, identifying irregularities, and performing routine cleaning to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment. Additionally, in this role, you will learn and be responsible for material handling tasks on a rotating basis.

This is a full-time non-exempt hourly position on 1st shift, working a 4 day/10-hour shift, Monday-Thursday schedule, located in our Pleasant Plain, OH manufacturing production facility.

Your Responsibilities ...

  • Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure machines are in safe working condition
  • Operate various process machines comprising a production process line
  • Set-up machines to produce finished goods that meet product specifications and perform line changeovers as needed
  • Conduct periodic in-process inspections
  • Monitor production line activities to meet production goals
  • Maintain accurate records and provide reports to the supervisor
  • Track and report downtime
  • Verify lot codes to ensure correct labeling and order fulfillment
  • Pack finished products and build pallets according to specified requirements
  • Learn and gain a deep understanding of material handling responsibilities in the department
  • Clean machines and parts after each task to maintain good equipment condition
  • Perform end-of-shift cleaning to prepare machines and work areas for the next production shift
  • Ensure good quality work by strictly adhering to standard operating procedures
  • Monitor material usage during production and alert management or clerks when supplies run low to avoid delays
  • Communicate progress and report any issues to supervisors to support smooth and efficient
Requirements

You'll Need ...

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience operating highly repetitive process machinery, with required exposure and knowledge of dog pads production line operations
  • Process Adherence: Demonstrated ability to consistently follow written instructions and SOPs
  • Good Attendance: Maintain regular, on-time attendance to support manufacturing schedules, effective team performance and operational success
  • Overtime Availability: Ability to work overtime if needed
  • Driver's License: Valid Driver's License to obtain a forklift certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry boxes/cartons weighing up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motion for extended periods of time
