ABOUT THE JOB

This position is responsible for leading and supporting all processing, packaging, material handling, and distribution functions in the plant(s). This includes direct supervision of production, warehouse and maintenance personnel; regulatory compliance; capacity planning, scheduling and execution; inventory management; OpEx management and cost control; performance tracking and reporting; employee staffing, training and development; and continuous improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Supervise manufacturing, inspections and maintenance in a regulated facility (ex. PSM/RMP, SQF etc.)
  • Uphold Hawkins Incorporated's standard of excellence through a continuous commitment of providing quality products and services to internal and external customers
  • Training, supporting, and supervising direct reports
  • Managing operation budget, inventory levels and variable expenses
  • Serves as Incident Commander
  • Ability to safely operate independently while adhering to all company Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)s and
  • Complying with all applicable Federal, State, and Corporate environmental, safety and health regulations
  • Apply all product quality and safety standards as well as report any product safety incidents to the Supervisor, Manager, or designated back-up (applicable to positions working in accordance with specific plant or company certifications).
  • Perform other miscellaneous related duties, as needed.


        ABOUT YOU:



        • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing or technical field required
        • Minimum of 2 years in a production or supply chain (planning, purchasing, materials management, etc.) role required.
        • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook required.
        • Demonstrated experience in problem solving, project management and communication
        • Minimum of 6 months of previous MRP or ERP experience preferred; prior JD Edwards experience strongly preferred.
        • Ability to work weekends and be on-call
        • Valid Driver's License in good standing (if required to operate a company vehicle)


        PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



        • Ability to sit, stand, and climb stairs for up to 12 hours per day.
        • Ability to work in a warehouse facility where temperatures may range from 45 up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit; as well as work outside in all weather conditions.
        • Able to perform manual dexterity tasks.
        • Occasional turning, twisting, stooping, bending, and reaching.
        • No exposed jewelry in body piercings when in a GMP production area (where applicable).


        TRAVEL

        Travel up to 5%

        Expected Compensation: $85,000-$115,000/ year. + 10% bonus eligibility
