Job Description/Tasks/Responsibilities
- Develops and produces drawings and designs for facilities, systems and equipment with adherence to established specifications and standards using computer-aided design software (CAD) such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Performs all work safely, ensuring that safety is an integral element embodied in equipment design and specification.
- Develops documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Works with the engineering team in the development of 3-D design models and orthographic drawings, intelligent piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) documentation, facility layouts and Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation (CE&I) system diagrams and drawings.
- Works in a multidisciplinary team.
- Selects hardware and materials as required by the Project, with guidance from engineers.
- Develops and maintains red-line documents (DCN's, D-SPEC's etc).
- Maintains vendor supplied drawings in accordance established policies and procedures.
- Maintains drawing database and files in accordance established policies and procedures.
- Performs checking of design documents produced by team members, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Works largely unsupervised, but under the general guidance of engineers, project managers and management.
- Exercises independent judgment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Conditions
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds; handle and reach below shoulder
- Ability to use hands and wrists to accomplish tasks as assigned
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb and bend/stoop
- Ability to effectively communicate; speaking, reading, understanding, writing and hearing clear English; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location
- Basic math and computer skills; mechanical ability
- Ability to see close and distance and basic colors/shades
- Ability to work inside an office, outside and in extreme temperatures
- Ability to work with moving objects/hazardous machines and slippery/uneven walking surfaces
- Ability to work alone and work with others
- Ability to drive a vehicle and travel overnight; perform under deadline pressure
- Anticipated exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- QA Inspector/visual acuity test
- Ability to wear a respirator and work around ionizing radiation, respirator qualification
- Ability to wear protective equipment such as: fall protection harness, goggles, ear plugs, hard hat, gloves, safety toe shoes, and full body protective clothing

- Associate's degree required in CAD or related subject
