Position Title: Product Estimator - Metal Machining & Fabrication Wage: $65,000 - $70,000/year Are you highly analytical and detail-oriented with a passion for precision estimating? A well-established manufacturer is seeking a Product Estimator to join their inside sales team in Milwaukee, WI and support growth by developing competitive, accurate, and profitable quotes for custom machined and fabricated metal components. This role is central to driving success by interpreting RFQs, reviewing technical drawings, collaborating with suppliers, and supporting the sales and engineering teams. With an upcoming transition due to retirement, you'll have the opportunity to train alongside the current estimator before stepping into a key leadership role within the estimating function. What You'll Do: - Review customer RFQs and technical drawings to develop accurate cost estimates - Prepare quotes by analyzing material, labor, tooling, and supplier inputs - Partner with engineering, sales, and purchasing to resolve questions and clarify requirements - Identify cost drivers and provide input to improve profitability and competitiveness - Support continuous improvement in estimating processes, systems, and documentation - Manage multiple quotes simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment What You Bring: - 3+ years of estimating experience in machining, fabrication, or closely related manufacturing - Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and detail - Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP or quoting software experience a plus - Ability to work independently, stay organized, and meet tight deadlines - Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments and with suppliers - Agricultural equipment industry knowledge a plus Compensation & Benefits: - Opportunity to step into a succession role with dedicated transition support - Direct impact on company growth by helping win new business - Collaborative culture that values initiative, problem solving, and continuous improvement - Competitive salary in the $65K-$70K range, plus comprehensive benefits IND345 | |
