Purpose:
The Senior Lead Mobility Engineer will provide technical leadership and oversight on enterprise wireless and mobility initiatives, ensuring secure, efficient, and modernized mobile system integration across the organization. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise mobile architectures, with a focus on aligning mobile solutions with organizational goals and mission-critical objectives.
The Senior Lead Mobility Engineer will serve as a technical expert across multiple projects, supporting system engineering throughout the full system life cycle, from requirements gathering and design to deployment, optimization, and support. In addition, this position requires leadership skills to supervise staff, establish engineering standards, and drive the adoption of best practices and leading-edge technologies in enterprise mobility management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership on major wireless and mobile initiatives, setting goals and strategies to meet project and program objectives.
- Lead planning and execution of mobile technology assignments, evaluate results, and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and project success.
- Act as a subject matter expert across multiple assignments, offering advanced technical guidance in enterprise mobility systems.
- Perform systems engineering across the system life cycle to support datacenter and enterprise modernization with mobile-first strategies.
- Develop and maintain system architectures consistent with the Enterprise Mobile Architecture and organizational standards such as the ELCM.
- Define and implement system integration methodologies that ensure business solutions align with client goals and strategic investment decisions.
- Apply best practices in mobile system design, development, integration, and implementation.
- Drive process improvements through business process reengineering and workflow optimization using mobility-focused tools and methodologies.
- Research, evaluate, and introduce state-of-the-art mobile technologies, ensuring efficient resource utilization and mission alignment.
- Supervise and mentor technical staff, ensuring adherence to established processes and standards while fostering innovation.
- Ensure mobile architectures support security, scalability, and compliance requirements across the enterprise.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience as an individual contributor in mobile systems or enterprise IT.
- Base-level certification such as CompTIA A+, Security+, or Network+.
- Core certification in mobility management, such as VMware Certified Specialist - Workspace ONE 21.X Advanced Integration (or equivalent).
