WAGES AND BENEFITS

$25.00 per hour; Paid vacation time, sick time, plus nine paid holidays and three floating holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance; Health Savings Account (HSA), and options for Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). There is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and short- and long-term disability insurance. FWS sponsors a retirement plan with 3% employer match and immediate vesting.

SCHEDULE

This is a hybrid position (with the majority of the work being virtual) that requires the candidate to reside in southern Minnesota. The role requires a reliable vehicle for travel primarily in the southern region of the state and metro, with occasional travel to northern Minnesota.

A Typical Day in the Life...

A typical day as FamilyWise's Regional Director of Prevention Initiatives provides an opportunity to support communities in implementing child abuse prevention strategies through training and programs like Minnesota ACE Interface, More Resilient Minnesota, Circle of Parents, and parent leadership initiatives. Responsibilities will include the following:



  • Building and sustaining relationships with community as they implement prevention initiatives within the assigned region of the state.
  • Promoting meaningful engagement in decision-making by using inclusive approaches for gathering community input and expanding leadership to new and diverse partners.
  • Providing planning, facilitation support, and technical assistance to Children's Mental Health and Family Services Collaboratives as they implement the phases of More Resilient Minnesota.
  • Providing training and support for the Circle of Parents network and ACE Interface presenter network (which may include one-on-one consultations, presenter demonstrations, co-presenting support, networking sessions, and workshops).
  • Supporting planning for annual prevention-related events.
  • Entering data, collecting surveys, and completing reports for all regional prevention initiatives by due dates.
  • Attending required FamilyWise staff meetings, and working in partnership with FamilyWise Services staff and volunteers to create and implement the agency's strategic plan, as requested.
  • Promoting statewide child abuse prevention across the state.



Who You Are



  • You hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or possess demonstrably equivalent knowledge gained through alternative courses of study and life experience.
  • You have the ability to present or speak publicly to live audiences.
  • You work effectively both independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • You have the ability to build relationships with culturally diverse communities, families, staff, and organizations.
  • You are a certified ACE Interface Presenter.
  • You have partnered with a local Circle of Parents group (as a facilitator, advisory member, or participant).
  • You have the ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • You possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have the ability to make complex decisions, problem-solve, navigate ambiguity, and manage contradictory information to solve problems effectively.
  • You have the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at once, demonstrating strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • You demonstrate an understanding of Neurobiology, Epigenetics, ACEs, and Resilience research (NEAR Science) and shared leadership.
  • You are proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • You reside in southern Minnesota and consider it your primary work location.
  • You are able and willing to work virtually most of the time.
  • You are willing and able to travel to various locations within the state, primarily across southern Minnesota.
  • You have a valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet FamilyWise's driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit (not applicable for new hires living out of state).
