About the Role

We are looking for an Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator to join our team in Fabrics. In this role, you will support both implementation and sustainment of an Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health (EOSH) Management System (MS) in Gore Fabrics for both ISO:14001 and ISO:45001. This commitment will initially focus on implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 at the Elk Mills 1 and Lovett Facilities and then transition to sustainment for both ISO:14001 & ISO:45001 in both facilities. This position will reside at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending on the role's responsibilities and business needs.

Pay and Benefits:

  • $80,000 - $105,000 per year

Responsibilities
  • Implement EOSH Management Systems (ISO:14001 & 45001) processes at Elk Mills 1 and Lovett in partnership with the Fabrics EOSH MS core team
  • Develop objectives in alignment with Fabrics objectives
  • Identify and drive improvements in Fabrics EOSH MS processes in consultation with EOSH MS team
  • Coordinate local activities and partner with EOSH Core Team to prepare for external ISO:14001/45001 internal and external audits
  • Facilitate and monitor closure of corrective actions arising from non-conformances and audit findings for Gore Fabrics plants
  • Coordinate and participate in EOSH MS management/leadership review process Implement and conduct environmental aspect assessments and risk and opportunity assessments
  • Ensure local records are maintained for EOSH processes, such as audits, management system reviews, and nonconformity findings
  • Partner with EH&S Specialists to monitor EH&S Compliance Obligations
  • Conduct local communication, training, and education on the EOSH MS
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working within an ISO:14001 & ISO:9001 environment
  • Experience managing or participating in projects, and utilizing formal project management tools
  • Experience planning, executing and participating in management system reviews and partnering with leadership to establish management system objectives
  • Understanding of the need to meet regulatory compliance obligations
  • Experience performing gap assessments and audits
  • Experience in creating and maintaining aspects and impacts register in accordance with ISO:14001
  • Ability to collect and monitor data to measure management system performance
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to contribute within a team, actively engage and partner with manufacturing, leadership, technical Associates and influence large teams
  • Strong computer skills; experienced with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with external certification bodies, including participating in management system audits and/or as an internal auditor
  • ISO:45001 OR an equivalent ISO Standard
  • Minimum of 3 years of EH&S experience or equivalent

This position requires access to export-controlled areas and information. Candidates must be "U.S. persons" as that term is defined in 8 USC *1324b(a)(3). This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore's work arrangement policies.
