About the Opportunity: We are currently seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team in Malden, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position is essential to ensuring the electrical infrastructure of our facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems in a variety of systems including machinery, lighting, controls, and power distribution.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and components.
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement projects and equipment upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Assist with emergency repairs and respond to after-hours maintenance needs when required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Proficiency using tools and equipment required for electrical installation and repair.
- Experience working with CNC machinery, PLCs, and automated systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for work order entry and documentation.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
