Who You Are...

As Sales Educator, you are responsible for delivering "best-in-class" learning experiences for those engaged in the sales function of the Company. By leveraging best practices to this population, including external curriculum, internally developed curriculum and talent strategies, this role directly impacts the revenue and profitability of the company. This role impacts the fulfillment of the Company's core purpose of "Creating Great Opportunities for People" across the entire business. The successful incumbent will deploy strategies that improve the transference of knowledge and overall learning experience through the delivery and monitoring of the Company's interactive learning programs and opportunities. In addition to leading the sales curriculum, this educator will have an opportunity to engage and lead across various aspects of the talent development strategy.

This Position...

Some examples of the work you might do includes:



  • Partners with the SVP of Sales and other senior leaders to provide talent and learning solutions to the target audience, aligned to the company strategy.
  • Oversees and directs virtual and in-person learning for those who own and enable sales across the company, including seminars, workshops, and individual learning sessions.
  • Partners with subject matter experts to provide impactful, effective talent development interventions.
  • Manages learning materials, attendance, and corresponding records and budgets for programs.
  • Develops system(s) to measure the impact of learning and talent interventions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Makes educated recommendations on internal/external resources and best delivery method (instructor lead, self-instructed, train-the-trainer, on demand/computer-based) for each program, balancing effectiveness, efficiency, adult learning principles and the business' core processes.
  • Serves as a curriculum design and facilitation subject matter expert for the assigned programs and scope.
  • Participates as a critical member of the talent development team, participating in or leading additional talent development strategies as required.


What You Need...



  • Bachelor's Degree in Education/Adult Education, Communications, HR, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a trainer or in a related role.
  • Prior experience in sales.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and/or project management training or years of experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a driving record compliant with the Company's policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to facilitate talent program needs, deliver training, and attend meetings.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in the HVAC or building automation industries.
  • Experience with adult learning principles.
  • Experience with instructional design.
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and Google Meet.

Work Environment:



  • This position operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.


Physical Demands:



  • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • This is considered a sedentary work position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
