We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Supply Chain Technician to support our daily supply chain operations, including shipping and receiving activities, inventory control, material labeling, and accurate data entry into Deltek Costpoint. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are tracked, handled, and recorded properly to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving functions, including preparing shipments, verifying deliveries, and processing related documentation.
- Accurately receive incoming materials, inspect for accuracy and condition, and properly label items for storage or distribution.
- Maintain inventory levels by performing regular counts, monitoring stock, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Ensure all materials are labeled in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Input and maintain accurate data in Costpoint related to material receipts, inventory transactions, and shipments.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse/storage area to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
- Coordinate with purchasing, production, and other departments to support material flow and resolve issues.
- Assist with audits, cycle counts, and inventory reporting as needed.
- Follow established safety and quality procedures in all material handling activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in shipping/receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP system strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of shipping practices, inventory management, and labeling standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate material handling equipment (forklift certification a plus).
- Will be required to qualify and maintain up to a Top Secret Security Clearance.
