We are currently seeking newly graduated candidates to add to our FPGA development team to help design, test, and support next generation products.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full life cycle of FPGA design from concept to customer support.

  • Design specification capture and RTL implementation.

  • Perform FPGA verification with simulation and in the lab.

  • Timing closure and analysis.

  • Develop and/or use tools to facilitate lab bring-up and debug of FPGAs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the following:

    • Hardware description languages such as Verilog or SystemVerilog.

    • Scripting languages such as Python or TCL.

    • FPGA development tools such as Questa, VCS, Quartus, or Vivado.

    • Circuit design and digital logic.

    • Linux environment.

    • Lab test equipment.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Initiative and enthusiasm, eagerness to learn.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.

  • Co-op experience is an asset.

Pay Range: The annual pay range for this position is $75,500 - $120,500

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
