This role partners closely with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that align with business objectives while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for accounting, US GAAP and tax compliance, internal controls, bank reporting, and optimizing financial performance and supporting business growth.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Strategy & Leadership* Develop and execute accounting policy and procedures that ensure accurate and timely financial reporting* Ensure compliance with US GAAP and US and foreign tax rules and regulations* Monitor industry trends and economic conditions to identify risks and opportunities.Financial Operations & Management* Optimize and oversee the month end accounting closing process, ensuring the timely generation of accurate monthly financial results* Oversee US and foreign tax and compliance functions.* Ensure compliance with US GAAP.* Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls* Manage the Company's annual audit process, including working closely with the external audit firm.Risk Management & Compliance* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local accounting and tax regulations.* Identify, assess, and mitigate internal control risks to safeguard company assets.* Oversee quarterly bank financial reporting.* Maintain strong relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions.Team Leadership & Development* Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence.* Establish the team's performance metrics and goals, ensuring alignment with company objectives.* Provide guidance on best accounting practices and continuous process improvements.Strategic Growth & Business Support* Support mergers, acquisitions, and investment decisions with financial due diligence.* Partner with department heads to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.* Develop business cases for strategic initiatives, providing financial analysis and risk assessment.* Drive digital transformation and automation in financial systems and reporting.Primary job responsibilities are those which an employee must be able to perform with or without accommodation. Requirements Required Education and Experience:* Bachelor's degree in Accounting* CPA, with active license* 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in an executive role.* Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.* In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, Tax, Internal Controls and risk management.* Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.* Strong proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and data analytics.* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Education and Experience:* Masters in Accounting or MBA* Experience in distribution and/or PE backed companies a plus.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS* Light travel from time to time to the Company's various operating units |
