Shipping Coordinator

Description

Job duties:



  • Prepares shipping documentation and processes orders.
  • Coordinates the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents.
  • Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions.
  • Troubleshoots shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers.
  • Ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling.
  • Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Investigate discrepancies
  • Communicate with Customer Service any changes
  • Communicate with B2B team
  • Use TraceLink (SIT) for aggregation process
  • Coordinate with shift Leads to monitor workflow
  • Collaborate with Director, Supervisors, Leads, and other cross-functional groups within the company to ensure alignment with company strategies and activities
  • Participate in the implementation of the organization's strategy for efficient distribution
  • Pick, Pack, Receive, Put-away, Replenishment as required
  • Operates Powered Industrial Equipment (forklifts, order pickers and dock trucks) to process work orders
  • Maintain various shipping reports
  • Review Check Order forms
  • Monitor out-going shipment accuracy
  • Perform picking audits as needed
  • Any other duties required by management


Qualifications:



  • Forklift Licensed; Experienced driving Stand-up Forklift
  • Warehouse Shipping / Receiving Experience, minimum of 1 year
  • Working knowledge of SAP system, Console RF System helpful
  • Ability to Operate Material Handling Equipment including pallet jack, forklift and/or order picker
  • Good Math and Writing Skills; Self Starter and Motivated
  • Able to perform Heavy Lifting, Material Handling
  • Walking/standing 8-12 hours a day
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Willingness to work Overtime as required


Preferred qualifications:



  • In-depth knowledge of FedEx shipping processes and regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent problem solving abilities.




Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Valid SC Driver's License; Must have own transportation
  • Candidates must have effective use of all four limbs.
  • Must have good eye, hand and feet coordination.
  • Must have corrected vision that meets the same requirements as those for a valid / applicable state driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (Product weight varies)
