Dirt Killer Pressure Washers, a division of Hamilton Associates, is the US importer for Kranzle, a high-quality pressure washer manufacturer located in Germany. In addition, we use other components of the Kranzle line to manufacture our own brand of pressure washers under the Dirt Killer line. Kranzle and Dirt Killer pressure washers have a reputation for being the best in the business!

Not only do we sell our pressure washers through a national dealer network that includes pressure washer specialist stores, industrial and agricultural suppliers, and ecommerce sites, but we also operate a local retail store, Atlantic Pressure Washers Superstore. At this retail store, located in Baltimore, MD, we sell these commercial-grade pressure washers, as well as accessories, parts and cleaning chemicals to professional cleaners, businesses and government organizations. In our store, we also repair all makes and models of pressure washers. Our expert staff specializes in helping local cleaning professionals solve their toughest cleaning problems by providing the right equipment, chemicals and how-to-clean knowledge.

POSITION OVERVIEW
As our Service Technician, this individual has overall responsibility for completing repairs, putting together assemblies, responding to technical calls and emails, and for training our customers on how to use our pressure washers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify the reasons for malfunction of pressure washers, provide written and verbal summary of what needs to be done to a system in order repair it, inclusive of parts and labor that's necessary.
  • Completes the necessary repairs bringing pressure washers systems up to specification.
  • Provide in-shop training to customers on the use and operation of pressure washers, and industry tools.
  • Assist customers with basic phone inquiries and technical support for stock equipment.
  • Assemble, test and label machines, systems and subsystem components.
  • Assemble and test new machines as needed for showroom/ display purposes.
  • Unload trucks with deliveries and properly store delivered items in the warehouse.
  • Assist in the retail shop with customer support, as well as provide diagnosis for walk in customers.
  • Coordinates with the retail sales manager on service performed for retail customers.
  • Coordinates with the office manager on service performed for wholesale customers.
  • Demo units for in person customers as needed. This includes but is not limited to the following- Industry tools, stock pressure washers, custom built tools, custom rigs, and service repairs.
  • Assist in the day-to-day retail operations by producing sub-assemblies, modifying equipment and altering tools purchased by a customer.
  • Maintain clean and clutter-free work and general shop areas.
  • Routinely clear exterior of the building of trash, debris, and foreign materials.
  • Assist with and or participate in Trade Shows, Demonstrations, and the training of products as needed for both wholesale and retail
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Background and Skills Required:

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years or mechanical repair and a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to safely lift up 35 - 50 lbs. without assistance and up to 70 lbs. with assistance
  • Ability to identify various hand tools and industry related tools by size of tool for assembly and repair of equipment including but not limited to clamps, drills, gauges, pliers, sockets, wrenches, and wire cutters.
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Above average mechanical trouble shooting and repair skills
  • Highly competent in the use of hand and power tools
  • Basic understanding of electricity
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literate in MS Office Products (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and use of the internet
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record, able to operate a company box truck
  • Experience in operating a forklift Additional Background and Skills Preferred:
  • Ability to read electric schematics and perform repair of electrical components
  • Experience in small engine repair
  • Experience in pump repair

Physical Requirements and working conditions:

  • Repetitively lifts parts, assemblies and subassemblies
  • Uses wrist motion and force to work on equipment
  • Visually inspects equipment and parts
  • Verbally communicates by phone and in-person with customers and co-workers
