An experienced architectural visionary interested in developing highly adaptable prototypes and remodel programs that are executable across a variety of global regions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong architectural skill set and understanding of issues related to facility design / prototype management / scope development and RFI's with a project execution focus. They will provide prototype construction documentation/templates, specifications, analysis and technical support for the development and execution of company and franchise restaurants. Architectural design and integration, value engineering, drawing production and scope management are key success criteria for fulfilling this role. This role contributes to Dine Brands success by creating comprehensive global architectural solutions that deliver a successful, branded guest experience while meeting design, cost, schedule, and operational requirements. Responsibilities:
- Prototype Documentation development and support for all building types
- Development of building plans, specifications and scopes of work to deliver construction documents necessary to build traditional or non- traditional asset
- Technical support for development execution teams/ franchisees
- Clarification of design and production intent
- Building and equipment specifications
- Alternate material / equipment specifications
- Project support and leadership
- Lead architecture and design of assigned projects from start to finish
- Collaborate with internal teams, franchisees and consultants.
- Ensure all AD&E inputs are delivered effectively on time to the highest quality standards.
- Design integration
- Innovate and adapt design features to suit a variety of facility types.
- Lead design on project specific assignments integrating defined brand materials and features while maintaining brand consistency
- Value Engineering, Margin Improvement, Bidding and Negotiation
- Continually seek to reduce costs through:
- Working with CSCS, consultants, contractors and franchisees to capture cost saving ideas and evaluating their potential for success
- Change Management
- Align with key stakeholders on modifications to building and or equipment specifications.
- Work with CSCS/ Consultant on cost of changes associated with any change in specification.
- Seek best practices in optimizing improvement across prototypes and or programs.
- Capture and communicate documentation updates into prototypes via consultants.
- Partnership / Collaboration
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals and translate them into a clear design vision. Present concepts and proposals effectively communicating design rational.
- Review and approve site-specific design adaptations and make recommendations for optimized improvement, including design elements, layout and operational functionality.
- Work directly with franchise organizations and consulting firms of franchise organizations to ensure appropriate local adaptations are made while embracing the critical design principles.
- Support site-specific post-audit process in partnership with local business units to ensure consistent execution of brand standards.

Skills & Requirements:
- 6+ years in the Architectural Design field including commercial and restaurant design-related activities
- Proven record of project management skills, strong technical capabilities and relationship building
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Professional Registration is a plus but not required
- Proven understanding of design materials, colors and branding features and how to effectively apply them in a built environment.
- Excellent communication, customer-service, conflict-resolution and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe creative suit as well as web and cloud communications tools.
- Ability to self-perform, architectural test fits, drawing edits, architectural color elevations, power point presentations,
- Consultant or agency management: 3+years of managing and external consultant or agency in support and added capacity of deliverables.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and request within a quick paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, ability to multi-task and a positive can-do attitude
- Strong business judgment that can be applied to create sound business solutions
- Strong personal accountability to meet and exceed goals and track performance towards objectives.
- Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
