Job Description:

Dynamo Technologies LLC is seeking a Security Specialist (Technology and Program Protection) to support U.S. Department of Defense programs under the Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Support Services contract. The Security Specialist will provide expert program protection, technology safeguarding, and security oversight to ensure the integrity of sensitive programs and technologies. This role requires deep experience in technology protection, cybersecurity, counterintelligence, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and compliance skills and experience applying DoD security policies and directives to protect critical assets.

This position is onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Duties/ Responsibilities:



  • Conduct technology protection assessments to identify risks to DoD programs, assets, and sensitive information.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain program protection plans in accordance with DoD directives and security policies.
  • Monitor, report, and respond to security vulnerabilities, threats, and incidents affecting classified and unclassified systems.
  • Provide security guidance and oversight to program managers, engineers, and technical teams.
  • Review technical documents, plans, and designs to ensure protection of sensitive program information.
  • Maintain records of security incidents, mitigation actions, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide briefings to leadership on program protection status, risks, and recommendations.
  • Support cybersecurity, counterintelligence, and supply chain risk management efforts.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement security mitigation strategies across programs.
  • Contribute to system development, modernization, and compliance efforts related to program protection.

  • Key duties include:



    • Develop and maintain Program Protection Plans (PPPs).
    • Identify Critical Program Information (CPI) and Critical Components.
    • Evaluate threat and vulnerability information.
    • Conduct risk assessments.
    • Develop countermeasures to reduce risks.




Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Extensive experience in DoD program protection, technology safeguarding, and security oversight.
  • Knowledge of DoD directives, counterintelligence, cybersecurity, and supply chain risk management.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to perform security assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Skilled at reviewing technical documentation for protection of sensitive information.
  • Proven ability to provide guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with program protection in high-visibility or mission-critical environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience supporting DoD programs, audits, and security compliance initiatives.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.


Nice-to-Have Skills:



  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition, lifecycle management, and technical program documentation.
  • Experience with DoD audit processes and compliance verification.
  • Knowledge of advanced security assessment tools and risk modeling techniques.
  • Prior involvement with sensitive or classified programs requiring multi-level security management.
  • Understanding of emerging cybersecurity threats, counterintelligence considerations, and technology exploitation risks.
  • Defense Acquisition University Program Protection Credential
  • Developing, maintaining, and implementing Science and Technology Protection Plans and/or Program Protection Plans.
  • Understanding program protection security requirements, including:
  • Anti-tamper measures
  • Exportability features
  • Supply chain risk management
  • Secure design principles
  • Defense-in-depth strategies
  • Cybersecurity implementation
  • Working knowledge of DoD Instruction 5000.83, "Technology and Program Protection to Maintain Technological Advantage."


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in information security, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field (12 years of experience may substitute for degree).
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in program protection, technology safeguarding, or security management.


Travel Requirement:



  • Up to 25%

  • Top Secret
