Engineering Intern - Summer 2026

Job Summary

The Intern is responsible for supporting a specific technical department or business unit with technical, lab testing, clerical and project work.

Essential Functions

• Complete testing of all production runs of test bars and molded parts

• Record and file all testing data

• Analyze recommend and implement process improvements

• Report on process activities

• Recommend and implement productivity improvements

• Recommend and implement waste reduction processes

• Investigate and resolve production problems

• Perform related duties as assigned by manager

• Maintain compliance with all work standards, company policies and procedures

• Rotate through several functional areas to gain an understanding of business (Design, Pellets/ Molding Production)Supports the department with all necessary technical, lab testing or clerical work.

• Supports the department with all necessary project work.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing/Plastics/Composites Engineering or equivalent experience in progress

• 1 year of professional experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
